More Freedom. Less Government.

Samuel Davenport discovered the most effective way to change Washington is by limiting corporation’s involvement in politics. For years we have seen waste in Washington by both the Democratic and Republican parties while everyday citizens are stuck footing the bill.

Louisiana continues to waste tax dollars by incarcerating more citizens than any other state in the United States. Samuel Davenport understands the need of balancing the budget and reducing the sentences for non-violent offenders while focusing more resources on the violence that is plaguing our communities.

With Samuel Davenport representing us in Congress, hardworking people in the 2nd Congressional District of Louisiana will have someone who reflects their Values and Ideas. He’s a proud honor graduate of East St. High and attended Southern University where he served as President of the Model United Nations Club, as Liaison to B.R.C.C. and L.S.U. with student government, while earning a B.A. in Political Science. He earned the R.O.T.C., Leadership Training Course Bold Leader award at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Samuel Davenport was chosen to participate in the Leadership Development Series with the Young Leadership Council, where he competed and polished various leadership skills. He is a Project Leader of Recreate, an YLC program, where he volunteers with inner city youth.

Samuel Davenport is running for congress because Washington is broken. Social injustice, the economy, and the way we are treating our Veterans are just some of the vast examples of how our political system is broken and how the entrenched Republicans and Democrats are taking advantage of the average American. Samuel Davenport recognizes that Good Government requires Good Leadership combined with Good Character. Sam assures that hard decisions will have to be made in order to steer our Nation into the right direction, but it is the right thing to do- regardless the political feasibility. You could be The Vote that changes status quo in Washington.

Samuel Davenport is that Change.
